While here's my first macro flower for 2008, sidewalk weeds which I do not know the name of and they grow with dandelions. They grow at least 5cm in diameter.

So, what is the first growing flower outside your house for this year?

  3. those are daisies - we've had half a dozen on the edge of our lawn for about six weeks now.

the dandelions don't usually spring up until the daffodils have died off - the daffs have been showing off nicely today.

Last time I saw a ladybird was when one landed on my wrist in Copenhagen in 2006

  4. Gerald, they are too small to be daisies, they are only 5cm and are as big as the dandelions that grow with them...but the dandelions are not yet in sight...thanks for the input. =)

I think snow drops are the first ones to show up in early spring around here which won't happen for another four weeks. Sniff.
