When it comes to webhosting there are lots of services being offered that comes in a package.

Nowadays, free hosting is a popular trend, take this blog for example, I learned basic HTML using this as a platform, posting is easy since literally everything is provided. If you need something that is simple or when you plan to perhaps practice your blogging skills then free hosting is for you. On the other hand, dedicated hosting is better alternative for businesses and webmasters. Having your own domain hosted under a single server makes everything on your page load faster. If you have a hosting but doesn't use up much space then you can resell these spaces as shared hosting. The downside though is that when your renters do something illegal it is more likely that you will be affected.

With the help of website ratings and reviews, consumers are able to identify and opt for services that fit their needs. The site provides a list of popular website hosts under various categories. Some of them includes best budget hosting, best blog hosting and best dedicated hosting. If your looking for a web host, click the link and compare prices and services offered by different hosting companies.

Hubby's second home is the Lion city, Singapore. He seldom tells me stories of his childhood spent there but I was quite sure he enjoyed it well, after all, Singapore is a very friendly city for children.

During our recent trip to the Philippines, I was surprised that hubby actually included a sidetrip to this beautiful but unassuming city. He said it's about time to come back and also show our kids all the enjoyable places there.

(Merlion at night)

Sentosa Island, which has numerous attractions for families including Underwater World, Volcanoland, a World War II fort and a night-time sound, light and laser show.

Underwater World Singapore – This more than just an aquarium! You'll walk through an incredible 83m-long tunnel where you'll have sharks, fish, and rays swimming around and above you. Touch and feed rays first hand at the Ray of Fun pool. Feed fish at The Mystical Anti Gravity Interactive Concept Tank, through a hole in the middle of a water-filled tank. And see a live Dugong and why they are often thought of as mermaids...

At the Dolphin Lagoon, the whole family will enjoy meeting very special Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins that are actually pink!

---

Enjoy the Cable cars and reach Sentosa by this...overcome your fear of heights while in there!
---

We found it most cost-effective to take taxis, although there is an efficient bus service and metro, and we enjoyed checking out all the dining options, especially the hawker centres - Singapore’s answer to fast food but much more delicious.

The kids also enjoyed swimming and droving the peacocks away, which were freely walking about the shores! Like everything else in Singapore, the beaches here are beautifully manicured and it was a great spot for a refreshing dip.

More of Singapore soon!

School day is fast approaching. My little boy who will be starting grade 1 this year is all excited. We've been scouting school supplies shops and getting his things ready soon so as he won't be disappointed on day 1.

I shop, real or online to look for bags, I prefer trolleys actually so it won't be too heavy for him. And while I was doing so, I chanced upon the ParentsConnect.com website, Nickoledeon's parenting resource where big events are always happening. There are lots of tips and tricks for parents to learn regarding school, kid events and fun places to go anywhere in the US. There are also loads of prizes and giveaways to be won that would surely be of help for shopping. ;-)

There are different categories and topics of interest to browse in the website. Topics tha are particular for the different age groups. Interestingly, this online community website is like a support forum where you get advice from well, real parents.

After writing about the costume shops in Japan, I never thought I'd actually see kids around in our area wearing those cosplay stuff! It was a 3 day event, unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the full event I was able to see them down our street lol.

It was nice seeing that those kids are aware and having fun cosplaying!

As far as I can remember I have been wearing dresses and skirts more often than I would wear jeans and shirts. I particularly prefer knee-length or over the knees even on colder days.

Take this Paisley printed blouse for example, its just the right length for me, can be worn on all occassions even a night out with hubby :). The colors also complement my skin tone and the puffy sleeves gives it a really cute look. I could wear it with platform sandals as is or with leggings and belt too and I'm off to go.

I also found sets of tops, leggings, shoes, bags and accessories over at the Simplybe website as I was browsing their Clothing Catalogues. Each of the sets is a perfect ensemble! I was looking for gifts to send my mom. However, seeing their beautiful designs not to mention the shoe section, I hoped to order also for myself! :D

In my attempt to be a work at home mom, I sell photos and write articles for certain magazines. In blogging, where opinion is a big influence, I found ways for me to earn money. It's not much but at least, I get to do something I like, and get paid for it too.

So, I signed up for Linkfromblog, a platform where advertisers get the chance to advertise in internet (blogs) giving them exposure and a boost in ranking (as far as search engines are concerned). Publishers, or us bloggers, get paid for reviews about services and websites, while advertisers gain promotion and readers from the links. Both parties gain traffic and deeplinks that would be easily indexed in the blogosphere.

Being new to the site, I had little difficulty understanding the process, thanks to the FAQ section I was able to pick up this and that and am now writing my first of hopefully, many paid posts to come. So once you sign up and give the necessary details, you put certain codes in your blog and wait for approval (which takes shorter than other piad ad platform does). If your blog passes the requirements, you're good to go. You can choose a category where your blog fits and this will determine the assignments that will be given to you. Otherwise, advertisers can pick and give assignments to blogs they deem would fit their exposure purpose...direct hiring, so to say, where an extensive list of publishers is available.

Regarding opportunities, you need to be quick and offer your price, wait for the advertisers to approve it and then you can do your post or review. The advertisers normally require an amount of words or certain number of paragraphs, a photo or two and some links.

The fee given the publishers also ranges depending on the length and quality of post. Payment is sent through the publisher's paypal account.

If you own a company, this is a better option to have your services and products advertised. Blog advertising is not only cheaper, it is more effective as each individual blog is global and exposed to many different groups of readers giving you a chance to extend your reach to people from all walks of life.

Indeed, advertising has come a long way and you can learn how to monetize (your) blog by reading around or directly learning the rules form the Linkfromblog website. Get paid while working at home and help the advertisers at the same time!

With the internet today being the main medium in advertising, having a a functional, user-friendly and engaging website is a must for every company. So it follows that the best thing for a company to do is hire a website design firm to layout their ideas that would best represent their interests.

To be successful in your field means to look good, this goes for web designs as well. Your website is your company's profile and it affects how people would treat you...first impressions always last. So choosing a good template with functions that users would easily understand is a must.

Though there's been much debate about SEO and design, you can have both. I for myself, wanted a simple, clean layout that is easy to navigate but the husband, a web designer, doesn't approve of this.

However, being the busy bee that he is, he can't sit on this and make a decent one. He did gave me a tip: black background with white fonts is easier to read. His programmer friend seemed to disagree though; "white background, black fonts!" was the strict answer.

Design or traffic? Well, why not both? If you get a design firm that has in house designers, in house programmers, project managers like Webfullcircle, you're sure to achieve the most out of your website.

In Japan, costume roleplaying or cosplay is an everyday 'normal' event. It is not unusual to see teens in groups, all dressed up as their favorite anime character, J-pop singer or fantasy movie idol. (Though I said normal, others find it silly but still brings fascination among viewers.)

It is very likely that you will enter a café or restaurant in Tokyo's Akihabara district with waitresses dressed also as a popular anime character, a schoolgirl uniform or other sexy costumes. If you are into cosplaying, you can go on Sundays at the Harajuku district to socialize with like-minded anime fans, cosplayers, girls styled as punks, gothic, lolita and more.

This phenomenon, if rightly termed so, has caused a lot of business opportunities to open. From designers to tailors, to endorsements to contests and shops particularly selling costumes. No wonder cosplay and discount costumes shop are prominent in Tokyo. Next time you visit Tokyo, be sure to drop by one of those shops and get yourself a pair and show off! ;-)

Luckily, I am one of those with sharp sight (literally and figuratively). I have never worn prescription glasses and would really love to stay like that for the rest of my life. But I knew that eventually, there will come a time, as I age, that I will wear one. Thank GlassesShop.com for a wide selection of eyeglasses than are designed to look more than just eyeglasses. Stylish, funky, colorful, people wouldn't know you are actually wearing them for a special purpose. They provide customers with options to customize eyeglasses that suit their needs.

Their products boast of high quality frames, anti scratch coatings, multiple color tint, UV protection and more. Who would even think that quality eyeglasses as such can cost only from $8?

The webshop also has convenient navigation for easy browsing of products via categories accordingly by type, material, frame style and frame width. An entire page also discusses and answers frequently asked questions as well as return policies. With a 90-Day Money Back Guarantee policy, you can get a full refund or have your glasses redone.

(^By Notting Hill Gate)

I enjoy both travel and photography. Although I haven’t been all-over the world, I try to document my journey and share it around. Here, my current hometown Vienna, a city I come to love not just for its intrinsic beauty but its overall aura of good vibes, I share bits and pieces of what to see and enjoy. -Marie Gizelle
