Watery Wednesday - Couple
8 Oct 2004
Photo: Four years ago, when I was still working in an after school institution (Hort).
Back then I always have a camera for opportunities like this. The Hort is located beside the Danube River, so I got lots of shots from this side of it. When the weather is good and I'm at it, I would bring the kids down here for a stroll and watch the swans, feed the ducks or take photos of the sunsets.
I don't remember what this couple where watching, but my guess was a swan. Below, I moved a little bit and from there you'd see a structure on the other side of the river.
Unfortunately, I haven't been back there for a long time...so as of now I have no new photos of this beautiful river to share...please enjoy this 4 year-old photo!

Great shots!
ReplyDeleteI like these. The couple... reminds me of me standing on the edge of any of the lakes I've been too... only the view around the lake is different but not the feeling of peace.
ReplyDelete:-)
I like the silhouette of this couple. Yes, this is why we bring our cameras wherever we go. I too have photos sitting on archives and waiting for the right moment.
ReplyDeleteYou haven't taken the three little ones to that place?
A great capture of a beutiful sunset - and lovely reflections in the water! Looks so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteI too love the sky and the refelctions on the water.........

ReplyDeleteLight like this lasts for maybe 3 minutes... beautiful
ReplyDeleteVery nice historical pictures.
ReplyDeleteLooks romantic eh? Or could they be in a lover's quarrel? hehehe... Beautiful scene though.
ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful peaceful images
ReplyDeleteNaturally you wonder how the couple is doing now, four years later. The river more or less stays the same. The Danube is an interesting case in nation coupling ... it traverses through so many international boundaries, it truly is a share watershed by many countries ... and couples.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty picture. I love the colors of the sky reflecting on the water. It almost looks like a painting.
ReplyDeleteI often go into my archives to share my photos, and I am so glad you did. They are beautiful, such a scenic spot.
ReplyDeleteAng ganda naman!!! Ang clear ng picture!
ReplyDeleteMy Watery Wednesday entry is posted here. Hope you can pass by if you have the time. Thanks!
Very nice photo of the couple enjoying the beautiful reflection of the sky. Definitely worth taking your camera everywhere to catch this one!
ReplyDeleteThis is so surreal - I love it!

very calm river. love the reflection on the water. and i love the whole atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteOnce again a mastepiece. The colours and the scene with the grandure of Vienna in the background makes a picture perfect finish. It would be quite romantic too unless...
ReplyDeleteThe postures of these two gives an impression of a lover's tiff having occured just before.
What a lovely scene. You have captured the couple really well.
ReplyDeleteI love the reflection in the water. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHope to see you in Vienna! You gotta recommend a nice place (and affordable) to stay in the city centre - or where the nice photo ops are! We'll only be there for a night. Next day we take the train to Brno.
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comments.
