Sky Watch Friday - Traurig
22 Jan 09
Unhappy, that's how I feel looking at this photo...for two reasons... One, there ain't much opportunities to take photos and I feel like the days are just dragging me towards nothingness. There is something I feel coming and that I should prepare for, yet, it is as if Iam not hurrying. Two, I am not really being productive as much and this blog suffered because of this too.
Anyway, here's hoping for better days ahead (which inevitably different). Enjoy your weekends!

I think it's the winter doldrums. You need sun. You need tropical breeze. You need to be sipping some buko juice in bora. How's that for an Rx?
ReplyDeleteHope you feel more upbeat next time. How's the three little musketeers?
Spooky rays of light, but nice wide open vistas.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are so unhappy over these photos. I like them both. The skies are lovely. Perhaps winter is just dragging you down. Spring will come - it always does.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skyshots of Vienna, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

Both of these photos are great! They definitely capture the monochromatic quality of winter, don't they?
ReplyDeletethe second shot looks almost like a watercolor...amazing water movement from a boat and the specks of color in an otherwise gray shot make for a great composition (in my opinion).
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful weekend.
I think we're all tired of winter and looking for spring. Have faith it will arrive again as it does each year.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely views, Gizelle. The second one is so picturesque.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
I think someone here needs more sun! So when will you be coming back here for a visit?
ReplyDeleteyou cannot be sad in Vienna - at most melancholic, but that's all :)
ReplyDeleteI so need some warm weather myself. Hopefully thing will be looking up for you.
ReplyDeleteI love the second image! I too think it looks like a painting. The movement in the water there is hard to comprehend. It looks like a drawing on the surface. very cool
Oh dear. I know just how you feel. It's dark when I go to work and it's practically dark before I get to go out with the hairy pare after coming home.
ReplyDeleteStill especially your second shot is gorgeous. That circle on the ice is very interesting.
I like your shots just yout attitude could do with a change. Believe firmly that what is coming is for the greatest good of all concerned, then anything that comes even if it seems tragic at the time will eventually show itself as having been just that, to the greatest good of ALL concerned. You may have the feeling but you can do nothing about it, so leave it up to the higher powers who can.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing by the time you read this you are feeling more upbeat. Your next post on horses seemed to have more of a trot to it.
ReplyDeleteIn the second photo, I love the thin line of human civilization in between the sky and the water. Those trees are great, like sculptures poking into the sky.
the water formation was beautiful.
