Sparkles
Swarovski is almost synonymous to Austria...When one mentions Austria, Swarovski is easily associated with it like Mozart and Strauß...or the sausage.
Tyrol, Austria, is the home of the luxury brand name for the range of precision-cut lead crystal glass Swarovksi.
Swarovski was patented in 1892 by Daniel Swarovski, himself born into a family of glass cutter Austrian monarchs. It was then known as K.S. &Co.
The crystals range from miniatures to big statues, jewelry, couture, home decor and chandeliers and more.
Originally, the Swarovski logo was an Edelweiss flower. It was in 1988 when it was changed to the Swan.Join!

You forgot to mention the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Sachertorte and the annual New Year's concert from the Musikverein but I also love Swarowsli glassware of which we have a few in our collection.
ReplyDeleteActually, have to admit that I didn't realise that Swarovski was Austrian... sorry! ;S

ReplyDeleteI don't normally make any of those connections in my mind. But I do think of sparkle when I see the swan sign.
