No Supermoon, just your ordinary full moon

April 17, 2011, photo by hubby that I borrowed
Do you know the month of Nisan?  It is the first month of the ecclesiastical year and the seventh month (eighth, in leap year) of the civil year, on the Hebrew calendar. It falls sometime in March–April on the Gregorian calendar.

I always await the 14th day of Nisan, I watch for the full moon and take a good shot of it...this year though, I forgot to charge my batteries so it was hubby who took this photo at home. :) I make sure I have a photo of the moon on Nisan 14, it is the day that Jesus died for our sins.

A post for Skywatch Friday.

  8. I honestly have no idea what you just wrote there. Hahaha! I think you lost me at Nisan and the rest are like blah, blah, blah until Gregorian calendar because that's the only calendar I am familiar with. I should read this again after I've had my sleep.

Beautiful capture by the way. One of my frustrations is taking photographs of the moon. We're planning on buying a dslr again. I'm gonna start saving and buy a kick ass telephoto lens and stalk that moon.
