There are many things to be grateful for from the city government. There are also things that could have been done better.....as to most cities and yes, I'm just a foreign citizen trying to find fault! Lol.

Rathaus means city hall, not that it has a lot of rats in it, it's in fact very well-maintained.

...draw carriages that tourists can rent to view the city.

The photo was taken near the Hofburg, the official residence of Austria's President, Heinz Fischer. Very near the Palace is the Spanische Hofreitschule/the Spanish riding school, a center for classical dressage and a key attraction in this city. I've yet to visit the place though. The kids would surely enjoy watching performances of Lipizzan horses.

Would you be comfortable wearing this nowadays?

Been showing you views of the Danube from above, while in the train, and from the side while walking by the banks of the river. Today, showing you a view while under the train rail and in the river....

How do you go about seeing the lovely sights in your city? It all goes by preference. We go by tram, by bus, by horse, by bike or train but my kids prefer - by foot! :)

I got enough to post for this week in all of my niche blogs. lol. Sorry to bore you with this. We went boating so I now have lots of photos while in the water and not while in the train, driving by. We just got the usual boat, the sails would have been really a challenge...Despite the cold, there are lots of us at the Danube...enjoying a somewhat gray summer day.

Took this shot while walking around the city with my son 2 weeks ago - when the weather was still ok. When it was summer.....these days, summer seems to be hiding away, lol. We got 18-23° which is also fine...as long as it won't rain.

(^By Notting Hill Gate)

I enjoy both travel and photography. Although I haven’t been all-over the world, I try to document my journey and share it around. Here, my current hometown Vienna, a city I come to love not just for its intrinsic beauty but its overall aura of good vibes, I share bits and pieces of what to see and enjoy. -Marie Gizelle
