One of the more common subjects I see photographed are wind turbines. I do not know where to take photos of them on a closer range but I had the chance to take one driving by on our way to St. Pölten. Wind generators, for years, have provided efficient and reliable wind power system to different parts of the world...I was especially glad seeing those photos taken in the upper part of my home country, Philippines.

So this is quite a far shot, would really love to see them upclose! Or, if not a wind generator, I'd love to see a windmill down in Holland! :)
