Another lovely morning I woke up to. Pardon my postings of archive photos but the previous days were gray due to snow.

Our balcony started getting filled up today. :) Yes, this is the balcony where I take most my skywatch photo contributions. This view was from the kitchen window. That side of the bank is the living room window.

Humanic, your one stop shoe shop...currently on sale! Well, as most establishments are...still in their year-end inventory sales I guess.

Below is Do & Co Hotel, at the heart of Vienna. One of the top and most recommended Hotels in Vienna, given the location, easy access to transport and modern facilities. Of course, a lovely addition to a photographer's collection too! The glasses reflects the sky and the buildings around it, that's why I "always" take a photo of it.

Watery Wednesday - Couple

Photo: Four years ago, when I was still working in an after school institution (Hort).

Back then I always have a camera for opportunities like this. The Hort is located beside the Danube River, so I got lots of shots from this side of it. When the weather is good and I'm at it, I would bring the kids down here for a stroll and watch the swans, feed the ducks or take photos of the sunsets.

I don't remember what this couple where watching, but my guess was a swan. Below, I moved a little bit and from there you'd see a structure on the other side of the river.

Unfortunately, I haven't been back there for a long time...so as of now I have no new photos of this beautiful river to share...please enjoy this 4 year-old photo!

My World 13 - Security

It was a beautiful winter moring. The street, spotless and not much people could be seen.

Vienna, as I have known it , criminality-wise, has very low amount of it. Six years ago, there would be no security guards deployed in the city. You can go about and do your business without having to worry that your stuff would be stolen. Things changed though, just last year security guards became visible in public and private firms alike. Just goes to show how criminality has risen in the past years.

I took this shot before approaching them, one saw my camera and said that I shouldn't be photographing stuff inside the train station as it is 'verboten.' I smiled and showed them the photo (lol) and I explained that I maintain this blog about Vienna. So should they see this post; Sirs, please let me say 'thank you!'

Spring is coming for sure but I can't help but look back on last year's. Tulips, whichever color or kind, whether single or in a bunch, they're pretty!

Camera Critters - Horses

Is it just me or are these horses really posing? Got to take their photos yesterday, those two are so immaculately clean....despite the smell!

These lovely creatures can be found beside the Stephansplatz Church. I am not entirely sure but a Fiaker costs about 80 euros an hour (same rate as a gondola in Venice!) nowadays. It is definitely a beautiful experience seeing the city aboard this classic carriage. They can also be rented for weddings and other ocassions.

Sky Watch Friday - Traurig

Unhappy, that's how I feel looking at this photo...for two reasons... One, there ain't much opportunities to take photos and I feel like the days are just dragging me towards nothingness. There is something I feel coming and that I should prepare for, yet, it is as if Iam not hurrying. Two, I am not really being productive as much and this blog suffered because of this too.

Anyway, here's hoping for better days ahead (which inevitably different). Enjoy your weekends!

My World 12 - Contrast

For the past posts I have shown almost always cityscapes or city scenes, today would be a ruralscape. Since its winter, these grassland that normally is yellow and green turned brown...thankfully the sky and the trees (survivor!) gives a good contrast.

I finally got to seat down and do a swf post. :D This is the same day I took the photo from last week, on the other side of the building. Because it was before 6am, some of the street lights were still on.

Below is the original photo for Sepia Scene (previous post). This one is from our balcony, you'd see that building behind us and on the opposite street a home for the aged.

Frozen Pond

Weeks ago I posted a photo of this same pond in green..now its frozen, not much but it was white most of the times I pass by. The other side of this pond is where iceskaters are allowed.

I might not be able to post much the coming days because of school...yes, I'm attending school somehow. :)

Camera Critters

As much as I would want to take photos of the lovely flying critters, I can't. I, and most of us needs to wait for 2 months or more for that. Meanwhile, please enjoy this butterfly from last summer.

I seldom see butterflies in my area, but there is a Butterfly house that I promised the kids we'll visit when it opens in summer. We weren't able to go last time...then there is also the aquarium and the zoo, by then there'd be lots of critters to show. Have a nice weekend everyone!

I have been looking for this set of photos for some time now, I wasn't sure how I wasn't able to see the folder where I saved it tsk tsk.

I woke up shortly before 6am, which I dont normally do on summer time. I woke up and saw that the sky was like this,I took my camera and made lots of shots. I think seeing a beautiful painting is better than sleeping off! What do you think? ;-)
